What’s included in hospital birth support:

• On-call from 37 weeks.

• Attendance at hospital once you are in established labour.

• Continuous, one-to-one support to help you feel confident, informed, and cared for.

• Advocacy for your wishes and care needs, ensuring your voice is heard and respected.

• Clear explanations at a pace that makes sense to you, so you always understand your choices.

• Practical techniques—help with changing and suggesting positions, encouragement, gentle reminders, and creating a calm environment.

• Support for your partner—offering reassurance or stepping in to give them a break if labour is long.

• A friendly face that has seen you through your pregnancy - someone who knows you and your wishes.

• A safe, nurturing space so you can focus fully on your birth experience.

• Immediate postnatal support, including creating a feeding plan before leaving you to rest.
