Postnatal Care
The first weeks after birth are precious—but they can also feel overwhelming. My postnatal care offers unhurried, personalised support in your own home, giving you the time, space, and reassurance you and your baby deserve.
What to expect from postnatal care:
Visits in your own home, lasting 1–3 hours, depending on your needs.
Full maternal checks, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and breathing (particularly in the early days). We’ll also talk about bleeding, appetite, feeding, pain, and emotional wellbeing.
Full neonatal checks—assessing cord, skin, feeding, nappies, muscle tone, and monitoring weight as required.
Newborn blood spot (heel prick) test performed on day 5.
One-to-one, comprehensive breastfeeding support if you choose to breastfeed, or tailored guidance for any feeding method.
Space to answer your questions and talk openly about life with your new baby.
Appointments are never rushed and always centred on you and your family’s needs.
Gentle, compassionate care for you and your baby—helping you recover, adjust, and thrive together in those first precious weeks.
